Blue House

Exploring Downtown Reykjavik

How to get into town:

Walking: Cross the Valhúsahaed field next to us and pass by the white church. From there, follow the coast line and after the second roundabout turn right, where you enter the old harbor area.

Bus: Walk downhill from the Blue House towards “Lindarbraut” street where you will find the green bus shed right at the corner. Please have change ready or pre-purchase the ticket through their app.

Driving: Free parking is difficult to find. We recommend the parking garages, which are affordable and convenient.

Generally we suggest driving into town and start walking around there. This gives you more flexibility in case the weather turns bad.

You can easily discover Reykjavik on your own in a few short hours. Below is our checklist to ensure that you are not missing out on the fundamentals. For food and museums please read the first page. Previous guests have enjoyed organised walking tours operated by (free tour) or highly reviewed
